Love Letter-Shaped Cherry Hand Pies

Love Letter-Shaped Cherry Hand Pies

Ingredients:

1 box of 2 pie crusts

1, 21 oz can of cherry pie filling

1 large egg

 

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Lay the crust out and make 3” by 4” rectangles out of the crust. Use the egg to make a wash.

2. Put some cherry pie filling and fold in three sides leaving one flap open to look like a letter.

3. Cut out some small hearts and place them in the center of each and brush the entire pie top with egg wash.

4. Sprinkle with sugar and bake on a parchment lined cookie sheet on the middle rack for 12-15 minutes.

5. Allow to cool. Dust with powdered sugar and enjoy!
