DIY Soap Making 101

Maria Provenzano

Materials:

Melt and pour soap

Knife

Microwavable bowl

Spatula

Essential oils

Cutting board

Silicone molds

Dried orange peel; optional

Directions:

1. Place the soap on a cutting board and use a knife to cut it into smaller pieces.

2. Place the pieces in a microwave safe bowl and place in the microwave for 30 seconds. Stir and repeat until it is completely melted.

3. Stir in about 20 drops of essential oils of choice (I love rose and sandalwood)

4. Stir in 1 tablespoon of orange peel, optional.

5. Pour in silicone molds and allow soap to set up completely.

6. Remove from molds.
